Invicta Men’s Watches

Invicta is an italian brand. This already is enough to evoke style, class and a trendy lifestyle.

What you may not know, is that Invicta is not a new company, nor it has been producing watches since the beginning. In fact, Invicta was originally a textile company, producing and distributing backpacks. Yup, that’s right. Backpacks. Mostly rugged, heavy duty backpacks for sailors and the military.

Nothing shocking if you think about a brand such as CAT -Caterpillar- that began its life producing excavators and now has successfully positioned its brand in fashion and clothing. Invicta, however, did more than that. In the early sixties, Invicta retargeted its own production facilities to target sportsman and produced a successful line of rock climbing accessories that proved to be a worldwide hit.

Later on, in the mid eighties, it scored another successful product by returning to the backpacks -with a twist. A line of backpacks for students was introduced and heavily promoted. The signature striped look with white strings clearly was an homage to the original military backpacks, but it proved incredibly successful and skyrocketed the company into the fashion industry.

By the early nineties, Invicta was already one of the most successful brands and began producing clothing and accessories, something that eventually led to the introduction of a new branch: the Invicta watches. Don’t forget that Italy is close to Switzerland and italian is even spoken in some regions of the watchmaker’s country.

The Invicta Lupah is one of Invicta’s most iconic watch lines.  Along with the pro diver series, the Lupah series has been lauded by many as the one of the highest quality watches in its price point.  The Invicta Lupah is offered in over 196,000 variations, with most within the $100-$300 price range.  The design of this timepiece is very distinct, and is instantly recognizable my most watch enthusiasts and collectors.

One excellent watch in this line is sold under the model number 9814.  This Lupah features a mineral dial window, a buckle clasp, and a stainless steel case.  The case diameter is 40 mm, and the band is leather.  The movement in this watch is a professional swiss quartz chronograph.  The contrast between the blue watch face and the leather strap makes this watch really stand out.  It is classy and interesting at the same time, making it great for both collectors and casual watch-wearers.  If you are looking to pick up a nice Invicta men’s watch, definitely check out this model.
